TEXTRON WILL REDEEM ITS 9-1/2 PERCENT SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES DUE 2016

 PROVIDENCE, R.I., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) announced today that it will redeem all of the $118 million principal amount outstanding of its 9-1/2 percent Subordinated Debentures due 2016. The redemption date will be Dec. 15, 1993. The redemption price will be 105.61 percent of the principal amount plus interest accrued to that date. The paying agent will be The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. Debentures may be surrendered (a) by mail, to The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., Corporate Bond Redemptions, 4 Chase MetroTech Center, 3rd Floor, Box 2026, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11245 or (b) by hand, at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., Institutional Trust Group Window, One Chase Manhattan Plaza, Floor 1-B, New York, N.Y.
