TERROR REIGN OF CASH BULLY.

THUG Giovanni Caruso terrorised scores of vulnerable people after typically lending them PS100 and insisting they pay back PS150.

He said he would "rearrange their face, break their legs" or "chuck acid into their face so no one would recognise them again".

Caruso, 41, also repeatedly told one woman she should turn to prostitution to pay off what she owed him. Many of his 88 known victims were people he first met socially in his local pubs and clubs around Stoke-on-Trent.

After a loan was agreed he would raise the interest even higher than the PS50 per PS100.

His threats extended to victims' families.

One terrified borrower was warned to carry on paying until Caruso told him to stop.

There was no paperwork but records on his phone showed he took PS3,000 a week over 18 months. An unemployed cage fighter, Caruso was found guilty at Stoke of a series of offences including illegal loan-sharking, blackmail and perverting justice.

He was jailed for 41/2 years in April.
