OLD.FASHIONED horse power is being used to clear overgrown woodland.

About 150 trees have been felled in Errington Woods, New Marske, in a management programme.

And huge shire horse Tees is helping haul them out of the woods. He was most recently seen clearing dead wood around Linthorpe Cemetery.

Tees - 21 next month - likes nothing better than to lumber huge logs from place to place, and with self-employed horse logger Chris Wadsworth in charge, he is making light work of what could have been a tricky problem.
