TEN Revs Its Engines with Big Red Racing; Leading interactive entertainment network for game players lines up more hit content.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 1996--Total Entertainment Network (TEN), the leading interactive entertainment network for game playing consumers, and Eidos Interactive Inc. today announced a license agreement to provide Eidos Interactive's popular Big Red Racing on TEN.

In Big Red Racing, players choose from 24 potential racing tracks and 16 vehicles options (such as backhoes, dumptrucks and hover crafts). Racers can compete with up to five other players simultaneously. This action takes place on a wide range of terrain -- from earthly global locations to outer space destinations. With Big Red Racing's 3-D graphics engine, players will be able to view the action from any angle -- including their opponents' front seat.

"TEN's high-speed network allows Big Red Racing players to experience the game as it should be: fast and frantic," said Paul Baldwin, Eidos Interactive's vice president of marketing. "Because of TEN's national low-latency network, Big Red Racing players can race someone across the country and not miss a beat."

Said Jack Heistand, TEN president and CEO, "The addition of Big Red Racing continues to diversify our content offerings of high-quality games. Big Red Racing requires a high-speed network: TEN is that network. During our public beta testing we have proven that our service can handle high usage without performance degradation of fast-action game playing across the Internet."

Established in 1996, Eidos Interactive (Domark/Core Design/US Gold) develops and publishes interactive entertainment software for the PC, Macintosh, Internet, Sega Saturn, and Sony Playstation.
