TELEMATICS TO INSTALL AND MANAGE THE SUPPORTING INFRASTRUCTURE OF MERCURY COMMUNICATIONS' WIRELESS ONE-2-ONE UK NETWORK

 FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Telematics International Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: TMAX) announced today that it will install, manage and monitor a data network to support Mercury Communications Ltd.'s new personal communications network service called One-2-One. Launched in September, Mercury's One-2-One service allows customers to make and receive calls using a compact, portable phone.
 All of the transmission sites are located within London and southeastern Great Britain, where the service was initially launched. Over time, One-2-One service will be available throughout the remainder of the United Kingdom.
 Intelligent Network Software
 As part of the contract, Telematics is supplying Mercury One-2-One with switches from its NET25 family of packet switching communication platforms. Both ACP 50 access devices and PCP 4500 backbone switches are included in the order. The ACPs and PCPs will be networked to carry interactive status, damage and repair data from each of the transmission sites in the One-2-One network. Telematics' PCPs also include intelligent custom network management software for linking and controlling the transmission sites' electronic and environmental monitoring equipment.

 Telematics has been a Mercury supplier since 1988 and is also the major supplier of all customer-premises network equipment on Mercury's Managed Packet Data Network.
 Telematics designs, manufactures and markets computer systems and software products for voice and data communication applications and networks. It provides a full range of frame relay products under the NFX brand name, including frame relay switches, frame relay concentrators and frame relay access devices called FRADs. Telematics' NET25(R) SmartNet(R) and Digital Wideband Networks include a complete line of wide area networking products designed specifically for voice and data communications applications and networks. This includes a full range of programmable packet switching systems, frame relay systems, access communications processors and T1/E1 networking multiplexers. Telematics is also developing an extensive ATM-based product family under the NCX product line. Telematics, headquartered in Ft.
