TELEMATICS ANNOUNCES DEPLOYMENT OF NETWORK FOR BRAZIL'S LARGEST PRIVATE BANK;MORE THAN 600 BANK LOCATIONS INCLUDED IN NEW BANCO BRADESCO NETWORK
 SAO PAULO, Brazil, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Telematics International, Inc., in partnership with CPM Informatica Ltda. and NCR Corporation, announced today at Comdex South America, construction of an enterprise-wide packet network, serving more than 600 banking locations nationwide, for Banco Bradesco, Brazil's largest private bank.
 Telematics' NET25 Communications Processors will be used to consolidate access, concentration and backbone network layers within Bradesco's banking applications.
 Bradesco is the first Brazilian bank to initiate the deployment of a private, packet-based data communications network and chose Telematics, CPM Informtica, and NCR after reviewing proposals from major competitors in packet-based data networks.
 "The objective of this new network is to reduce communications cost, consolidate banking applications, and provide Bradesco branches throughout Brazil with a more modern and competitive networking infrastructure," says Aluizio Borges, executive director/general manager of Banco Bradesco.
 National Network
 Telematics equipment will interconnect 558 branch banking of fices with 66 banking centers and two main telecommunication and data processing facilities in Brazil. Initial network installations will begin in October and become operational by the end of 1992.

 Telematics designs, manufactures and markets computer systems and software products for voice and data communication applications and networks. It provides a full range of frame relay products, including frame relay switches, frame relay concentrators and frame relay access devices called FRADs.
 Telematics' NET25, SmartNet and Digital Wideband Networks include a complete line of wide area networking products designed specifically for voice and data communications applications and networks. This includes a full range of programmable packet switching systems, frame relay systems, access communications processors and T1/E1 networking multiplexers.
 Telematics, headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has approximately 360 employees worldwide with facilities in five US locations, Basingstoke, England, Frankfurt, Germany and Paris.
