TELECOM CORPORATION ELECTS DENIUS TO BOARD

 DALLAS, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleCom Corporation (NYSE: TEL) announced today that Frank W. Denius has been elected to fill a vacancy on its board of directors. Denius, a founder of TeleCom, previously served on its board from 1958 to 1985. Denius, currently a practicing attorney in Austin, Texas, has served on the board of numerous public companies and currently is a member of the board of directors of Southern Union Company and Texas Commerce Bank - Austin.
 Lawrence W. Schumann, chairman and chief executive officer said, "I am excited about Frank Denius rejoining our board. His prior experience on our board and as a director of other public companies, as well as his previous operating experience as chief executive officer of Southern Union Company, will be a great asset to TeleCom as we pursue our growth plans."
