 TELEBASE APPOINTS MICHAEL KOENIG TO BOARD
 WAYNE, Pa., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Telebase Systems, Inc., an


international information services company, announced today the appointment of Michael E.D. Koenig, Ph.D., to its board of directors.
 Since 1988 Koenig has been dean of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Rosary College in River Forest, Ill. Prior to Rosary, he was affiliated with the Graduate School of Library Service at Columbia University, New York, where he is credited with the development of the Information Science Program.
 Throughout his career as an information executive, Koenig has held senior management positions with Tradenet, Inc.; Swets North America; the Institute for Scientific Information; and Pfizer, Inc.
 According to James E. Coane, Telebase chief executive officer, "Michael Koenig brings to Telebase the perspective of a leading educator in the field of information sciences. His experience will help Telebase assure the best possible coordination between its business and consumer- oriented programs and programs designed for information professionals."
 Koenig holds a Ph.D. in information science from Drexel University, Philadelphia; a B.A. in psychology and physics from Yale University, and both an M.B.A. and an M.A. in library science from the University of Chicago.
 Telebase's board consists of nine members: Israel J. Melman (chairman), Coane, Pertti Huhtala, Gary M. Lauder, Christer Sigmundt; Rahul Srivastava, Marvin Weinberger, Christopher Witt and Koenig.
