TELEBASE ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE CHANGES

 WAYNE, Pa., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- James E. Coane, president and CEO of Telebase Systems, Inc., an international information services company, announced the appointment of Jeffrey B. Magill to the position of vice president, Marketing and Sales, as well as the addition of two members to Telebase's board of directors.
 Reporting to Coane, Magill assumes responsibility for marketing Telebase's business and corporate network products. Magill joins Telebase from ONTOS, Inc., a market leader in the development and sales of object-oriented database management systems, where he served as vice president of Sales and Services. Previously, he held a number of marketing and sales management positions with IntelliCorp, a leading vendor of application development software.
 Magill is a graduate of MIT's Sloan School of Management where he earned his master's degree in management and also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In commenting on Magill's appointment, Coane said: "Jeff Magill comes to Telebase with an accomplished career in executive sales management and extensive experience in marketing sophisticated software products to large companies. We are delighted to have attracted an executive of his caliber to lead Telebase forward into this new and exciting information network market."
 Magill replaces Stephen M. Moss, who had served as vice president,
Marketing and Sales with Telebase since 1989. Moss is leaving Telebase to form his own company, InfoMatix, Inc., an independent sales and marketing agency for electronic publishers.
 The two new members of Telebase's board of directors are George F. Cunningham, Business Planning and Development vice president, AT&T Easylink Services, Inc.; and Charles Wilson, a significant shareholder of Telebase as well as a venture investor and board member of several technology-based companies. Leaving Telebase's board is Marvin I. Weinberger, former executive
vice president, who had been with Telebase since 1985. Weinberger is leaving Telebase to become president of


Infonautics Corporation, an independent spin-off company created by Telebase to continue development of an educational service called Homework Helper. Telebase's board now consists of nine members: Israel J. Melman (chairman emeritus), James E. Coane, George F. Cunningham, Pertti Huhtala, Gary M. Lauder, Christer Sigmundt, Michael E.D. Koenig, Christopher Witt, and Charles Wilson.
