TEKTRONIX SUES LECROY FOR PATENT INFRINGEMENT

 WILSONVILLE, Ore., Nov. 18 ~PRNewswire~ -- Tektronix Inc. (NYSE: TEK) announced today that it has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against the LeCroy Corp. The patents asserted cover inventions that are used in Tektronix' digital oscilloscopes. Tektronix is seeking an injunction to prevent further infringement of its patents, as well as a monetary judgment for compensatory damages and other such relief as the court may deem appropriate.
 "This action indicates our intent to enforce our patent rights protecting our research and development efforts," said Rick Hill, vice president of Tektronix' test and measurement division. "Our patented instrument features offer Tektronix a substantial competitive advantage in the markets we serve."
 Tektronix Inc. is a leading manufacturer of electronic products and systems in the areas of test and measurement, computer graphics and television systems. Revenues for fiscal year 1992 totaled $1.3 billion from worldwide sales.
