 TEKTRONIX SELECTS CADENCE FOR ELECTRONIC DESIGN
 SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Cadence Design Systems


Inc. (NYSE: CDN), a worldwide leader in electronic design automation (EDA) software, today announced the signing of a three-year agreement with Tektronix (NYSE: TEK) for the purchase of Cadence's full suite of design tools. The estimated size of the contract is in the $2-million-to-$10 million range, and includes Cadence's mixed-level simulation, integrated circuit (IC) design, printed circuit board (PCB) design, design verification and framework environments.
 As the preferred EDA vendor for Tektronix, Cadence will supply this software for use by Tektronix (IC) and systems designers through most of the company's operations. Tektronix is a worldwide manufacturer of electronic test and measurement instruments, computer graphics equipment and television systems equipment.
