TEKTRONIX CIRCUIT BOARD DIVISION HOLDS BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

FOREST GROVE, Ore., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tektronix Printed Circuit Board Division recently held its first annual, joint customer and supplier symposium in Portland, Ore. The meeting focused on business and technology plans for the future. With Tektronix' (NYSE: TEK) recent decision to establish the division as an independent organization, this forum proved an effective method of sharing information with customers and suppliers.
"This was a superb meeting and hopefully it will become an annual event," said Phil Morgan, supplier manager at Pro-Log Corporation. "The Tektronix Circuit Board Division has always worked hard to meet the needs of its customers, and we're confident that focus will work continue in the future."
Debi Coleman, vice president of materials and component operations for Tektronix, gave the keynote address. "Over the past ten years, the circuit board division has developed an external customer base that now makes up a substantial portion of their total revenue. Their continued commitment to meet customers' needs and their ability to build a diverse customer portfolio should ensure this organization's success in the future."
During the symposium, management of the Tektronix Circuit Board Division explained plans around structuring the division as an independent organization. "Our commitment to customers and suppliers will continue regardless of the shape our organization takes," said Larry Neitling, general manager of the division. "Customers can expect the same level of attention they have experienced in the past from our organization."
Tektronix is a leading manufacturer of electronics products in the areas of test and measurement, computer graphics and television systems. Revenues in fiscal 1993 were $1.3 billion. Tektronix is headquartered in Wilsonville, Ore. and has operations worldwide.
