TEKTRONIX -- A WILSONVILLE-BASED COMPANY; CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS MOVE

FROM BEAVERTON TO REMODELED SPACE AT COMPANY'S WILSONVILLE CAMPUS
WILSONVILLE, Ore., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Tektronix Inc. (NYSE: TEK), a worldwide manufacturer of electronic test and measurement instruments, computer graphics equipment and television systems equipment, has moved its corporate headquarters to newly remodeled space at its Wilsonville industrial park, the company said today. The move affects about 175 employees.
The corporate operation has shifted from Beaverton, which will remain Tektronix' largest manufacturing center with approximately 5,000 employees. "Moving our corporate operations to Wilsonville is part of a long-term space-reduction effort," said James R. Bloom, vice president for Corporate Marketing. "As part of an ongoing plan to control costs, we are consolidating our Test and Measurement Group activities on one campus. We found that moving the corporate operations to Wilsonville was a cost-efficient method of creating room at Beaverton ?all Test and Measurement functions." Departments scheduled to move include the Office of the President, Corporate Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, International Operations and Finance and Control.
Tektronix sales in fiscal 1991 were $1.3 billion. The company employs 11,500 people.
