TDIC enhances network security with Pulse Secure.

Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development &

Investment Company (TDIC) has deployed security solutions from Pulse Secure to

protect its IT infrastructure and enhance operations.

The Pulse Secure software and appliances have helped TDIC,

the master developer for tourism, projects in Abu Dhabi, to tackle issues of

secure network access, high network demand and compliance with security

standards.

TDIC is involved with many collaborative projects, which require

allowing third party contractors to connect to its network and shared

resources. the IT department had previously struggled with ensuring secure

access to both its network and shared resources for TDIC employees and teams

from partner organisations.

"We normally have between 800 to 1000 TDIC staff on our

network but during major projects we may need to provide IT resources and

support for hundreds of additional users such as contractors, architects, project

managers and other individuals from our partner community," explained Muhammad

Asad Khalil, Senior Network and Security Engineer for TDIC.

The reporting capabilities in the new platform also enables

TDIC to meet the regulatory requirements and audits of the National Electronic

Security Authority (NESA), as specified in the UAE Information Assurance

Standards (UAE IAS).

The Pulse Secure 5000 series appliances running Pulse Policy

Secure Network Admission Control (NAC) software have allowed TDIC to develop

processes to ensure each device that connects to its network is vetted to meet

required standards. New staff or partners, and new devices can be onboarded

either automatically, or in just a few minutes with the new solutions.

Abdul Rehman Tariq, MEA Regional Manager for Pulse Secure

said, "The project at TDIC shows how regulatory requirements can be a perfect

catalyst for seizing the initiative with transformative approaches to network

security that can also provide a major boost to productivity and operational efficiency."
