TDAP hosts dinner for commercial diplomats.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP)

hosted a dinner in honor of top commercial diplomats and businessmen on June 27 in Karachi. The dinner

was attended by commercial diplomats of Switzerland, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Turkey, Korea USA and China, besides leading businessmen of the city.

Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary TDAP, welcomed

the guests on behalf of S.M. Muneer, Chief Executive, and other officers of TDAP. She briefed them about Expo Pakistan 2014 which was scheduled to be held in October 2014 and invited them to exhibit in the event. The guests were also informed about the progress of

LifeStyle Pakistan 2014 which will be held in New Delhi in

September this year.

Ms. Agha emphasized the need for synergy between the TDAP, commercial diplomats and the business community to enhance trade between Pakistan and various countries.

S. M. Muneer, Chief Executive TDAP, thanked the diplomats and members of the business community for attending the dinner and said he was serving as a bridge between the commercial diplomats, the TDAP and the business community.

He said the government of Pakistan was determined to improve the commercial and economic status of the country despite the fact that it was in a state of war. He further said the recent budget was mostly business friendly. He observed that the role of commercial diplomats and

the business community was very important for economic boost of the country and that without support of commercial diplomats and the business community, TDAP could not ensure increase in exports.

He extended an invitation to all commercial diplomats

and businessmen to actively exhibit and participate in Expo Pakistan 2014 because it was the only official event which brought business opportunities to the country's doorstep.
