TAXONOMY ALLOWS USERS TO VIEW BROADER SPECTRUM OF RESEARCH.

UVentures, Inc., New York, online intellectual property marketplace, has introduced their new proprietary taxonomy database structure developed exclusively for the UVentures.com site. The new taxonomy provides the most sophisticated and precise classification structure available on any online intellectual property site.

A multi-level tiered structure, the taxonomy database aids users in the identification of technologies or research in the life and physical sciences. Buyers searching for licensable technologies can zero in on highly specific details in various classification tiers. The taxonomy, which was developed specifically for UVentures by Ph.D. candidates at New York University, gives users the option to drill down into multiple layers of categories or view a broader spectrum of research.

"The integration of this unique and proprietary taxonomy into UVentures' site brings added value and efficiencies to both our technology buyers and sellers," states Craig Zolan, CEO of UVentures. "Entrepreneurs, corporations, and investors can look for technology solutions which have been cross referenced to all relevant areas of scientific research, allowing easier and faster location of technologies solving a particular business need. The end result is more precise and qualified matches between buyers and sellers and a lower attrition rate for potentials deals."
