TAPISTRON INTERNATIONAL RECEIVES ORDER FOR SIX 4.4 METER CYP MACHINES

 RINGGOLD, Ga., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Tapistron International, Inc. (NASDAQ: TAPI TAPIW) today announced it received a confirmed order for six 4.4 meter CYP (computerized yarn placement) machines totaling approximately $6 million.
 The machines have been sold to Tai Ping Carpets International Limited, one of the largest hand-tufting concerns in the world. Tai Ping Carpets is headquartered in Hong Kong, has operations through Asia, and has affiliates in Thailand and the United States.
 Management noted that Tai Ping is in the process of updating its operations in which they currently operate over 100 Axminster machines.
 Lanier M. Davenport, chairman and chief executive officer, said: "We believe this order is indicative of the confidence Tai Ping has in the technology of the CYP machine. We appreciate the commitment Tai Ping has made to Tapistron and look forward to a continuing relationship with them."
 Davenport noted that he is now focusing his energies on sales, as well as the development and acquisition of additional technologies. Day-to-day operational responsibilities and functions are now being handled by Gary Maddux, vice president of sales and marketing, and John Thomas, chief financial officer.
 Tapistron International, Inc. is headquartered in the center of the country's carpet industry and has developed the CYP (computerized yarn placement) machine, a highly sophisticated patented innovation in tufting technology. The CYP technology is a proprietary, totally computerized process capable of manufacturing highly versatile patterned, colored and textured carpets and textile products for residential and commercial applications. Additionally, the company has the exclusive worldwide rights to the technology of a textile dyeing process developed by Ful-dye, Inc.
