TAMARA WALKER NAMED REVLON'S MOST UNFORGETTABLE WOMAN OF 1992
NEW YORK, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Tamara Walker from Weatherford, Okla., was named today as the 1992 Revlon Unforgettable Woman, winning $25,000 and the opportunity to be the "face" in a Revlon print ad. The presentation was made at a gala luncheon at the Four Seasons in New York by Jerry W. Levin, president and CEO of Revlon. On hand to introduce the winner were Revlon celebrity spokesmodels Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Veronica Webb.
A stately blonde, Tamara Walker, 22, was Miss Oklahoma USA 1988 and placed in the semi-finals of the Miss. USA pageant. She was chosen for the Miss USA/USO tour to entertain American military personnel. In 1990 she won the Star Search Spokesmodel semi-finals. She looks forward to a successful modeling career.
To enter the 1992 Revlon Unforgettable Women Contest, Tamara completed an entry form, sent it with three photographs, a proof of purchase and register receipt for a Revlon product, and a brief essay on why she considers herself unforgettable. She describes herself as "outgoing, friendly, energetic and understanding."
Tamara was one of nine women selected from 51 semi-finalists representing each state and the District of Columbia. Nine finalists were interviewed by a panel of distinguished judges, including heads of world-famous modeling agencies and an international fashion photographer. Their selection was based on overall beauty, personal style, poise and presence to project Revlon's glamorous image.
The 1992 Revlon contest was the fourth annual search by the international beauty company for the most unforgettable women in America. Inspiration for the contest comes from the global ad campaign, "The Most Unforgettable Women on the World Wear Revlon."
