TAM reports operating data for October.


Brazil's TAM SA (NYSE: TAM and BOVESPA: TAMM4) has reported its operating data for October 2006, as disclosed by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

According to ANAC, TAM registered 28.1% growth in domestic RPK (demand) compared to the same month last year, and a 26.1% increase in domestic ASK (supply). The market demand in October increased by 5.0% and market supply increased by 6.0%.

In the international market TAM registered 34.5% growth in RPK and 43.7% in ASK, compared to October 2005.

TAM's domestic load factor was 71.8% and its international load factor was 74.9%.

The airline also registered a domestic market share (RPK) of 51.1%, an increase of 9.2 points compared to the same period in 2005.
