TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF.

SEETHING Scots football fans jammed our hotline yesterday to attack Jack McConnell and his Euro chumps.

'How can they say the bid would be taking money away from the NHS when you consider how much money they are spending on the new parliament building? Euro 2008 would bring much more money into the country than a new building would.'

- SOCIAL CARE WORKER, HEATHER MOFFAT, 40, DUNFERMLINE, FIFE.

Jack McConnell should take a good look at himself, he's the First Minister of Scotland and he should have done everything in his power to secure these lucrative championships for us alone.

- AIRPORT SAFETY OFFICER, FRANCIS PIEROTTI, 25, PAISLEY

'Thousands of Scottish football supporters went to Belgium and there was no trouble. The fans are ambassadors for the country but they got no say in whether we would go for Euro 2008.'

- CARPET SALESMAN IAN RAE, 42, GLENROTHES, FIFE

'My message to Jack McConnell is that I think he is wrong. It would have made a lot financially. Why should we worry about Ireland? We have our own country to think about.'

- PETER FERRIER OF EDINBURGH
