TADIRAN'S BOARD CHAIRMANSHIP TO CHANGE

 HOLON, Israel, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Tadiran Limited (NYSE: TAD) reported today that Yitzhack Hoffi, who has served as chairman of the board for three years, has announced the termination of his office as chairman. At Tadiran's next annual general meeting of shareholders, a new chairman of the board will be elected. Until such time, the company said that board meetings will be chaired by Benjamin D. Gaon, a Tadiran director who is President and CEO of Koor Industries Ltd. Koor owns 59.5% of Tadiran's shares.
 Tadiran designs, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of sophisticated telecommunications equipment, defense electronic systems and computer software products, which are sold to customers in more than 50 countries. In addition, Tadiran is one of the largest manufacturers of air conditioners and refrigerators in Israel, and is a leading manufacturer of lithium thionyl chloride batteries. Tadiran Electronic Industries, Inc. is a U.S. subsidiary of Tadiran Limited.
