TACOMA POLICE DEPARTMENT EXECUTES SEARCH WARRANT AT DEAN'S PHARMACY

 TACOMA, Wash., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Tacoma Police Department Special Investigations Division, members of the Washington State Pharmacy Board and the Drug Enforcement Agency Diversion Unit executed a search warrant at Dean's Pharmacy, 2704 Sixth Ave., Tacoma, on Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m., the police department said today.
 The owner of the pharmacy, Frederick George Dean, a 64-year-old male, was arrested for two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful delivery of a "Legend" (a prescription but not a controlled) drug, and one count of possession of stolen property second degree for possessing a stolen handgun.
 A confidential informant had come forward with the information that Dean had given her a controlled substance in exchange for sexual favors. This confidential informant, along with an undercover Tacoma Police Department female officer made contact with Dean at his pharmacy earlier this month at which time he gave them certain controlled substances.
 Last night the confidential informant and the undercover officer returned to the pharmacy, where Dean offered them some valium in exchange for a sexual act. Dean was arrested, and the search warrant was served and executed.
 The Pharmacy Board seized all controlled substances from the pharmacy, in addition, four handguns, including the stolen one, were also recovered from the premises.
 Dean was booked into the Pierce County Jail awaiting arraignment on the listed charges.
