IT seems one celeb has lost the X Factor after performing in front of fewer than 100 people at his latest gig.

Tabby Callaghan, 25, headlined the opening night of the Rose of Tralee Festival on Friday.

The X Factor star, who once played before huge crowds while supporting Rod Stewart, had only a small group of pensioners and Travellers to cheer him on.

One Tabby fan said: ''When Tabby came on, he looked as if he wanted the ground to swallow him up.

''Among the few people who came to see him perform were a bunch of Bible bashers and a group of women Travellers.

''After the gig Tabby and his band looked very unhappy. It's a shame because Tabby's so talented.''

Tabby once said: ''We did a couple of big festivals - we did Rod Stewart in Ireland and we did O2 in the Park with 200,000 people.

''I had a single out, so when we were doing the song, they were all singing it back to us which was pretty amazing.''

Tabby was a runner-up on the X Factor in 2004.
