TA Associates Announces Staff Promotions.

BOSTON -- TA Associates, a leading buyout and private equity firm, today announced the promotions of twelve members of the company's investment and administrative staffs, effective January 1, 2007.

* Jeffrey S. Barber was promoted to Managing Director from Principal. He serves in TA's Boston office, focusing on investments in business services, consumer products and financial services companies. Mr. Barber is a member of the Board of Directors of Florida Career College, Microban International, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear and Tempur-Pedic International. He received a BA in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University in 1995, with all University and Departmental Honors, and an MBA, with Honors, from Columbia Business School in 2001, as a Beta Gamma Sigma Scholar.

* Michael S. Berk was promoted to Managing Director from Principal. He serves in TA's Boston office, focusing on investments in business services, consumer products and financial services companies. Mr. Berk is a member of the Board of Directors of Microban International, Professional Warranty Service Corporation and Triumph HealthCare. He received an AB, magna cum laude, in East Asian Studies from Harvard College in 1992, a JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1997, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997.

* Todd R. Crockett was promoted to Managing Director from Principal. He serves in TA's Menlo Park office, focusing on investments in business services and financial services companies. Mr. Crockett is a member of the Board of Directors of 2nd Story Software, American Access Care, Clayton Holdings and Cupertino Electric. He received a BA in Politics from Princeton University in 1992, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1999.

* Jonathan W. Meeks was promoted to Managing Director from Principal. He serves in TA's Boston office, focusing on investments in growth technology companies. Mr. Meeks is a member of the Board of Directors of CFRA Holdings, Creditex, eSecLending, GlobeOp Financial Services, Monotype Imaging, OpenLink Financial and SmartStream Technologies. He received a BS, with Distinction, in Mathematics from Yale University in 1995.

* Ajit Nedungadi was promoted to Managing Director from Principal. He manages TA's London office, focusing on investments in growth businesses across Europe. Mr. Nedungadi is a member of the Board of Directors of Alma Lasers, Ltd., Drive Assist UK Ltd., eDreams, Escher Group, Ltd., ION Trading, SmartStream Technologies and Sophos Plc. He received a BS, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Yale University in 1992, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1998, where he was a Baker Scholar.

* Thomas P. Alber, Chief Financial Officer, was promoted to Director from Principal. Mr. Alber, a Certified Public Accountant, serves in TA's Boston office. He received a BS, with High Honors, in Accounting from Bentley College in 1982, and an MBA from Babson College in 1989.

* Christian Gruenwald was promoted to Principal from Vice President. He serves in TA's London office, focusing on investments in growth businesses across Europe. Mr. Gruenwald is a member of the Board of Directors of eDreams. He received an MS in Computer and Management Science from Universitat Karlsruhe in 1995, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2000.

* Jon E. Kossow was promoted to Principal from Vice President. He serves in TA's Menlo Park office, focusing on investments in business services, consumer products and financial services companies. Mr. Kossow is a member of the Board of Directors of Babcock & Jenkins Direct, Circle Graphics, CoreLogic Systems and Logistics Health. Mr. Kossow received an AB, with Honors, in Biology from Harvard University in 1996.

* Jennifer McAuliffe Mulloy was promoted to Principal from Vice President. She serves in TA's Menlo Park office, focusing on investments in business services, consumer products and healthcare companies. Ms. Mulloy is a member of the Board of Directors of Cypress Pharmaceutical, One Call Medical and Youth and Family Centered Services. She received an AB, with Honors, in Economics from Stanford University in 1995, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2002.

* Vivian Wu was promoted to Principal from Vice President. She serves in TA's Menlo Park office focusing on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Ms. Wu is a member of the Board of Directors of AzoogleAds and Global 360. She received a BA, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in History from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994, a BSE, summa cum laude, Beta Gamma Sigma, in Finance from the Wharton School in 1994, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2000.

* Harry D. Taylor was promoted to Senior Vice President from Vice President. He serves in TA's Boston office, focusing on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Mr. Taylor is a member of the Board of Directors of Numara Software. He received an AB, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with Honors, in Economics from Hamilton College in 1996, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001.

* Roberto E. Ramirez was promoted to Vice President of Finance from Controller. Mr. Ramirez, a Certified Public Accountant, serves in TA's Boston office. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1996.
