Magpie[TM] Systems. Inc., a T.D. Williamson, Inc. company, has rolled out the newest addition to its in-line inspection products, the 4-inch (102-mm) magnetic flux leakage tool. With a minimum bend radius of 3D, the inspection tool allows small pipelines to be assessed. The tool length with two battery packs is 6.45 feet (1.96 m). The tool's weight with one battery pack is 52 lbs. (23.6 kg). Average run times are 28 hours, with increased time available with additional alkaline or lithium battery packs. Magpie tools are available in sizes from 4 through 24 inches, with other sizes and features being developed. www.thru.to/pgj Circle #202
