It was a banner year for The Texas Tribune at the annual Online Journalism Awards: We swept all three categories in which we were finalists, including General Excellence.
In addition to taking home the top honor in our size bracket (other general excellence winners were Quartz and The New York Times), the Trib also won:
Best explanatory journalism for our affirmative action project, Price of Admission, recognition we shared with our reporting partners at the Center for Investigative Reporting's Reveal
Best topical reporting for God & Governing, our mini-documentary on the role faith plays in the decision-making of Texas legislators
We couldn't be more thrilled to share the news - and to be in such great company.
