T-Mobile USA Inc, a mobile operator and wholly owned subsidiary of T-Mobile International which is part of the Deutsche Telekom AG group, has announced that it has launched its 3G service in Las Vegas.

T-Mobile invested some USD37.5m in infrastructure and spectrum to launch the service as part of its reported plans to extend its 3G network into at least 20 additional markets during 2008.

The announcement also indicated that T-Mobile intends to release HSPDA devices for use on its network in the near future.
