Syria Participates in the Special International Olympics.

Damascus, (SANA) - Syria will participate in the Special International Olympics due in the Greek capital of Athens. Syria will participate in the Olympics with a mission consisting of 83 members, 55 of which are athletes who will participate in 10 kinds of sports, said Regional Director of the Special International Olympics Aiman Abdul-Wahab. Regional directors of the Special International Olympics will meet on Sunday in Athens which hosts the 13th World Summer Games 2011. The meeting will discuss many of the important issues for drawing future strategies and policies of the Special Olympics with regard to increasing the number of athletes during the third development plan from 2010 to 2015.
