Synthos S.A. (www.synthosgroup.com), Oswiecim, Poland, has finished construction of a modern SSBR rubber production plant in Oswiecim. The project cost PLN 568 million, of which 147 million were covered by EU funding. The production capacity of the new plant is 90,000 metric tons of rubber annually. The purpose of the investment is the development of the rubber portfolio of Synthos S.A. by introducing a new, innovative product, SSBR rubber, used to make modern tires with improved performance and fuel savings.
