Synth popster Marc's on way; Sound bites.

ELECTRO legend Marc Almond is coming to Huddersfield. The former Soft Cell singer is bringing his Pop Troubadour tour to town to coincide with his album of the same name. The one time Leeds Polytechnic art student, pictured, has sold more than 30 million records, recorded more than a dozen albums and had a number of top 10 hits, including the international classic Tainted Love, which has since been covered by many artists including Marilyn Manson and The Pussy Cat Dolls. He also scored a UK number one in 1989 with the late Gene Pitney. He plays the Town Hall on Tuesday, September 18 at 8pm.
