Synovus Bank (NYSE:SNV) has said that it has opened a new banking centre in Atlanta's Reynoldstown community.

'Synovus is thrilled to be part of the growth and revitalisation taking place in the City of Atlanta, and we can't wait to serve our new neighbors in Reynoldstown, Cabbagetown, Little Five Points, and throughout east Atlanta,' said Rob Garcia, Synovus north Georgia division CEO. 'As the bank of here, we couldn't be more excited to join this historic and dynamic community.'

The new branch will provide a full range of personal and business banking products and a range of home mortgage products, including Synovus' own Affordable Mortgage Program for first-time homebuyers and other borrowers. The branch will be open for 50 hours each week, including Saturday.

A Georgia-chartered FDIC-insured bank, Synovus Bank provides commercial and retail banking, investment, and mortgage services together with its affiliates through 250 branches in Georgia. Synovus serves metro Atlanta through 40 Bank of North Georgia branches. Bank of North Georgia will be re-branded as Synovus beginning in February 2018.
