Sydbank A/S (CPH:SYDB), a large full service bank in Denmark. announced on Thursday an increase in its ownership interest of the share capital of Sparekassen Sjaelland-Fyn to 5.2%.

According to Sydbank, it considers this purchase of the shareholding in Sparekassen Sjaelland-Fyn as a pure financial investment and a consequence of a long-standing, good cooperation.

Sydbank offers mortgages, automobile and other consumer loans, agricultural loans, investment and private banking, interest rate hedging, cash management services and life insurance. Sydbank operates throughout Denmark, in northern Germany and Switzerland.
