Swimmers land speeding tickets; SWIMMING.

CITY of Coventry Swimming Club picked up 11 speeding tickets at the weekend as they competed in the Wycombe Open meet.

The tickets were given for competitors clocking times faster than their requried level as the club collected 78 medals, 36 of them gold.

Speeding tickets went to Ellie Tranter (50 back), Megan Wright (200 and 100 free), Alysha McDermott (200 and 50 free), Sam Fairchild (200 and 100 free and 200 IM), Thomas Twaites (50 free), Hannah Williamson (50 free) and Hadden Smith (100 breast).

The club finished third out 13 visiting clubs with 588 points, with 613 points good enough to finish first.
