Swimmers' splashing medal haul.

THERE have been medals galore for Nuneaton and Bedworth's swimmers.

A total of 52 swimmers from Nuneaton and Bedworth Swimming Club made the finals at the Warwickshire County Championships recently. The club won a total of 29 medals - 14 gold, six silver and nine bronze through more than 30 recognised long course events and 14 team events.

There were individual gold medals and the titles of Age Group Warwickshire County Champion for Thomas Hudson in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle; 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke; 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly and the 200m individual medley. There were also wins for Kaan Temuge-Winder in the 50m and 100m breaststroke and for Eva French in the 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.

There were individual silver medals for Eva French in the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke; Alexander Vega Flores in the 1500m freestyle and Kaan Temuge-Winder in the 200m breaststroke. There were team silver medals for Caleb Chittem, Dominic Simpson, Thomas Hudson and William Beardmore in both the 200m freestyle and medley relays.

There were also individual bronze medals for Caleb Chittem in the 50m freestyle and 100m breaststroke, Thomas Vince in the 50m and 100m butterfly, Alice Ball in the 100m butterfly, Charlotte Gledhill in the 50m backstroke, Eva French in the 50m freestyle, Finlay Monaghan in the 50m backstroke and for Kaan Temuge-Winder in the 100m freestyle.
