Sweet stuff from Sugar.

Byline: By Wales on Sunday

This game was planned by manager John Cornforth as another element of his pre-season build-up and it proved to be so with 22 players used by County during the game.

Six of the eight goals came in the later stages when both sides were showing a lack of mental concentration.

It was trialist Ryan Sugar who got the first goal for County with a close-range header before Cirencester equalised from the penalty spot through Adie Viveash.

County made regular substitutions during the second half, allowing Cirencester to score twice in a five-minute period to establish a good score-line advantage, but Jason Bowen and Ashley Williams brought it back to level pegging with goals late in the game.

However, Cirencester had something left in the tank and they scored twice in four minutes of stoppage time, including their second penalty of the game and a second of the match also from Jody Bevan to complete the scoring.

County's preparation for their Nationwide South campaign continues with a training game at Bath University in mid-week, a visit to Gorseinon-based Garden Village on Friday evening and then a one-week camp in Devon.
