Sweet dreams.

Berry Sleepy says it has the products to help consumers go to sleep easily. The company is offering seven SKUs of Berry Sleepy, a line of sleep aids that officials say blends three proven sleep-inducing superfruits to create a healthy all-natural product that is also rich in vitamins and antioxidants. According to James Lacey, the CEO of the Westlake Village, Calif.-based company, the products feature passion fruit, Goji berry and tart cherries. Passion fruit, he says, promotes a feeling of calm, relaxes the mind and body and supports and regulates sleep. Goji berry reduces the time to fall asleep, promotes deep, beneficial sleep and increases energy the next day. Tart cherries improves sleep duration and quality, helps manage disrupted sleep and improves sleep patterns.

The product is available in various sizes including a 24-count, priced at $9.99, and 60-count bottle, priced at $19.99, a single-serve (99 cents) and a two-serving blister pack ($2.39).The company also offers 2-ounce shots in strawberry and mixed natural flavors at $3.99. The products will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign over the next year.

The company is also offering two SKUS of its Berry Awake all-natural energy product for consumers looking for an all-natural product in the energy area. The shots will also be priced at $3.99.

"We think this is a winner for retailers because so many consumers are looking for all-natural products in the sleep aid and energy segments," Lacey says. "We have studies that show that many consumers would change to a natural product in these segments if they were available. We are filling that void." --Seth Mendelson
