Sweet cheeks; Don't just eat chocolate this Easter - get your guilt-free fix by slathering on these cocoa-based beauty products. By Kim Jones.

FACE FACTS Chocolate might be delicious, but it can also keep laughter lines at bay thanks to its anti-ageing properties.

"Cocoa powder contains flavonoids, antioxidant compounds in plants that 'mop up' free radicals which cause cell damage," says luxury facialist Cherry Woods (cherrywoodsclinic.com).

Feed your face with an intense dose by slathering skin with a chocolatey mask. We like the purse-friendly 7th Heaven Hot Chocolate Self-Heating Face Masque, (my7thheaven.com), a dark chocolate and orange oil mix.

For daily skin nourishment, try MuLondon Organic White Chocolate Truffle Moisturiser, (mulondon.com). With cocoa and Bourbon Vanilla, it's good enough to eat.

NO-CALORIE TREATS "Cocoa butter is extracted from cocoa beans and melts at body temperature," says Cherry. "It's used to make chocolate, and skin loves fatty acids. It can help heal dry, sensitive skins."

First, prepare your skin with a cocoa scrub like Cacao Coffee Body Scrub, ( frankbody.com) and Buddy Scrub Raw Cacao, (buddyscrub.co. uk).

Both contain raw cacao powder which fights free radicals and the effects of pollution, while hydrating vitamin E, brown sugar and sea salt cleanse and clarify.

If you're going down the self-tan route, prepare skin with Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter Chocolate Whip. Or try Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturizer, it's super-chocolatey. All Superdrug. CHOCOLATE DIP Cleopatra bathed in milk, but we prefer a dip in chocolate. Try Philip B Chocolate Milk Body Wash & Bubble Bath, (amazon.co.uk). As well as moisturising cocoa butter, it contains oat proteins, known to help soothe conditions such as eczema.

CHOCKY LOCKS Feed tresses with cocoa butter - it's ideal for conditioning dry, frizzy or curly hair. Try Garnier The Sleek Restorer range - a shampoo, conditioner, balm and oil containing cocoa butter from the Ivory Coast. All good stores.
