Swedish life science company Biolin AB (OMX Stockholm: BLIN) announced on Tuesday (9 September) that it has decided to spin off its dental implant systems subsidiary Ospol and to focus on its core business of developing analytical instruments.
Biolin said that its plan is to carry out the spin-off and a separate listing on the OMX First North market for Ospol during the autumn.
In connection with the spin-off, Ospol will also carry out a new shares issue, which is expected to raise SEK10-30m. The funding will carry the company through the next two or three years.
Biolin, headquartered Sweden, develops and markets analytical instruments for scientists and clinicians in nanotechnology and biotechnology. The company reported sales of SEK79.7m in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.72 Swedish kronor (SEK).
