Swedish industrial consumables and components provider B&B Tools AB said on Thursday (6 March) that its subsidiary, TOOLS Helsingborg AB, has agreed to acquire the industrial reseller Industriprodukter i Eslov AB (IPAB).

IPAB, based in Eslov, Sweden, sells tools and consumables to the industry in the Eslov area. The company has 10 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK30m.

"The acquisition of IPAB will strengthen [the TOOLS partner chain's] position in the industrial market in southern Sweden," commented Johan Falk, executive vice president of B&B Tools.

"It is a well-established company with a high level of expertise and excellent opportunities for further development of operations," Falk added.

The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

B&B Tools, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, supplies industrial consumables, components and related services to the industrial and construction sectors in Northern Europe. The group has some 3,200 employees and annual revenue of over SEK9bn. B&B Tools is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.23 Swedish kronor (SEK).
