Swedish consumer prices up in May 2006.

Statistics Sweden, the Swedish state statistics agency, said on Tuesday (13 June) that Swedish consumer prices increased on average by 0.2% from April to May 2006.

The inflation rate in May 2006 was 1.6%, as compared to 1.5% in April 2006 and 0.1% in May 2005.

The Harmonised Index (HICP) increased by 0.2% from April 2006 to May 2006 and by 1.9% from May 2005.
