NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-3 June 2010-Swedish Opcon to supply waste heat recovery equipment to Czech Republic(C)1994-2010 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

3 June 2010 - Swedish industrial technology company Opcon AB (STO: OPCO) said today it received its first order to deliver waste heat recovery equipment in the Czech Republic after it recently signed a partnership agreement within bioenergy for that country and Slovakia.

Opcon has won a contract, worth some SEK7.5m, from Czech biomass technology supplier TTS EKO SRO. The company has entered the deal via its subsidiary Opcon Bioenergy AB.

The order covers two flue gas condensation plants, including treatment to two district heating plants in Trebic, owned by TTS.

The equipment will improve energy efficiency by up to 30% through utilisation of waste heat. Emissions of particles will be cut by some 75%.

Delivery is due in 2010.

In the Czech Republic, fossil fuels and nuclear power have completely dominated the energy sector to date, Opcon Bioenergy's managing director Claes Scheibe said.
