Sweden's Countermine Technologies AB wins new contracts in Libya and Croatia.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-18 August 2008-Sweden's Countermine Technologies AB wins new contracts in Libya and Croatia(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Swedish mine clearing technology and services provider Countermine Technologies AB said on Monday (18 August) that it has won new contracts in Libya and Croatia.

In Libya the company won a SEK6m contract to clear a 1,000-square kilometre former military site contaminated with mines and unexploded ammunition.

The contract represents a continuation of a general survey contract Countermine Technologies won earlier this year from a major oil company.

In Croatia, the company won a SEK7m assignment to clear a 547,000-square metre area. Parts of this project will be carried out with the help of subcontractors.

Countermine Technologies, headquartered in Sodertalje, Sweden, develops mine clearing equipment and carries out mine clearing operations. The company reported a net turnover of SEK29m in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.79 Swedish kronor (SEK).
