Swedish digital pen and paper developer Anoto Group AB (OMX Stockholm:ANOT) said on Wednesday (23 April) that it has received a contract from a leading global manufacturer of visual communication products.

The contract, valued at EUR0.8m during 2008, covers technology and pens for use in the customer's upcoming visual communication products.

"The visual communication product area is a very interesting field for Anoto. This contract will open up new business opportunities for Anoto-enabled interactive media applications," said Anders Norling, CEO of Anoto Group.

Anoto Group, headquartered in Lund, Sweden, develops and delivers technology for converting handwritten information into digital documents. The company has 110 employees in Sweden, the US and Japan, and reported net sales of SEK169m in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.25 euros (EUR). One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.79 Swedish kronor (SEK).
