Suzuki's extra special new SX4.

SUZUKI has launched a new special edition SX4 model called the X-EC, which goes on sale later this month at pounds 13,430.

It is based on the popular SZ4 grade which includes metallic paint, and is available in two wheel drive format with a 120PS 1.6-litre petrol engine and manual transmission only.

The new model offers a decent stack of standard equipment including colour sat-nav with Bluetooth, USB port, unique design alloy wheels, electric folding door mirrors with built in turn signal lamps, rear privacy glass and a new seat fabric design.

Those unfamiliar with the SX4 can bank on a five-door hatchback that blends the characteristics of compact cars like the Swift, with those of lightweight SUVs like the Grand Vitara.

The Euro 5 emissions 1.6-litre petrol engine can propel the two-wheel drive SX4 from 0-62mph in 10.7 seconds while combined cycle fuel consumption is 45.6mpg. The emissions figure is 141g/km.
