Suzanne Salvo recognized with IABC Chairman's Award.
IABC Chair Glenda Holmes, ABC, has selected Suzanne Salvo as the recipient of the 2007 Chairman's Award, presented on 24 June at the opening general session at the International Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Each year, the IABC chair honors one or more members who have demonstrated initiative and leadership at the international level by serving on committees, speaking at seminars, working with students, assisting with conferences or writing articles for professional journals.
Salvo and her husband, Chris, are co-owners of Salvo Photography, an international award-winning studio based in Houston, Texas. She has traveled extensively to nearly 60 countries on assignments ranging from ad campaigns, annual reports and capabilities brochures to photo illustrations for magazines and newspapers.
At IABC, Salvo served as a director-at-large on the 2003-2004 executive board and is a past president of IABC/ Houston. She also writes an informative online bimonthly column in CW Bulletin called "Visually Speaking," and is a highly rated speaker at IABC conferences.
"While Suzanne Salvo has done much for IABC over the years, her most recent work on member photos for IABC's home page has really helped put a face on our association and a focus on what makes our association so special--the people in our global network," says Holmes. www.iabc.com /awards/chairaward.htm
