Sustainable Textile Dying: THE DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY.

Over the past several decades, the textile industry has received public scrutiny for its sustainability practices, including the intense natural resource demands of growing, processing and manufacturing cotton textiles and the hazardous chemicals discharged to water supplies. ECOFAST Pure sustainable textile treatment enables sustainable dyeing using drastically reduced chemicals, water, wastewater and energy, while giving brighter, bolder and longer lasting colors. ECOFAST Pure is added to the cotton dyeing process as a pre-treatment, which converts natural, negatively charged cotton fabric to a positively charged fabric, known as cationic cotton. The cationization leaves the properties and performance of cotton intact, while allowing the fabric to pick up dyes more efficiently and without the use of salts or additional processing chemicals.
