Sustainable Ballard's ASAP to Host Seattle EV to Grid Forum.

The Alliance of Sustainable Alternatives to Petroleum (ASAP), an educational outreach project of Ballard, WA-based nonprofit organization Sustainable Ballard, will host "The Seattle Electric Vehicle to Grid Forum" on June 6 and 7 at Seattle City Hall.

The first day of the event will offer a technical symposium on vehicle to grid (V2G) power, with topics to include a comparison of plug-in hybrids with battery-powered vehicles, new sources of clean power in the Pacific Northwest, modular factories for small-volume vehicle manufacturing, the economics of V2G to support renewable energy policy and implementation strategies, and a brief "hands-on" tutorial for calculating basic V2G power and price parameters.

The forum's second and final day will offer a panel titled "The Seattle Electric Vehicle to Grid Enterprise," which will bring together experts to present scenarios for engaging and deploying the manufacturing resources and trained workforces already in place in the Pacific Northwest.
