Suspect sent to prison.

A judicial magistrate sent on Tuesday a suspect to prison in a criminal assault case.

The suspect, who was an employee at a bakery in Lea Market, was booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old boy when he came to buy eatables from the bakery.

The suspect was arrested on Jan 13 and after the end of his first remand, police produced him again before a judicial magistrate (south).

The magistrate also recorded the statement of the victim and sent the suspect to prison on judicial remand with the direction to the IO to file an investigation report.
