Suspect held in hunt for PC's killer.

A MAN being hunted by police in connection with the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky was arrested yesterday.

Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 24, who has been on the run since the murder in Bradford, was arrested in a police operation in Newport, South Wales. A 23-year-old man was also detained in the operation, Gwent Police said.

West Yorkshire Police are still hunting for 25-year-old Mustafa Jama.

His brother Yusuf Jama, 19, has already appeared in court charged with the murder.

The two men were arrested in a joint operation involving West Yorkshire Police, Gwent Police and officers from the Metropolitan Police.

Detective Superintendent Andy Brennan, of West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who is leading the investigation, reminded the public there was a pounds 90,000 reward available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.

PC Beshenivsky, 38, was gunned down as she investigated a robbery at a travel agents in Bradford city centre on November 18.

Her colleague PC Teresa Milburn, 37, was seriously injured in the same incident
