Surface Combustion establishes affiliate.

An affiliated corporation has been formed by Surface Combustion, Inc, Maumee, OH, to buy certain technology and assets from Industrial Furnace Designers, Inc (IFD), St. Louis.

The new Surface affiliate will retain the industrial Furnace Designers name and will continue IFD's tradition of designing, engineering and manufacturing small and medium high-temperature atmosphere furnace equipment.

M.D. "Brandy" Brandwine, a 40-year furnace industry veteran, will continue as technical and sales consultant with IFD. William Frey, IFD's chief engineer, will be joined by William J. Cleary, product manager.

Surface Combustion engineers and manufactures heat-treating furnaces and related equipment.
